Maldon and Tiptree vs Great Wakering Rovers

I arrived at the game at about 1:00pm, with the programmes in my hand. The place looked dull, hardly any fans around as yet..the place needs a lick of paint or two.

Great Wakering where reduced to 10 men where the number 6 brought down Maldon's number 9, Sos Yao - it was a harsh decision, he pulled him back, Sos went down easily, and the number 6 was the last man.

Wakering's number 6 is sent off.
It was Maldon who took the lead in the first half, the goal coming from Freddie Ladapo who managed to squeeze the ball over the goalkeepers head and in to the top right hand corner from a tight angle on the left hand side, this goal came on 43 minute mark.
Ladapo wheels away after scoring the first goal.
Half Time: Maldon and Tiptree 1 - 0 Great Wakering Rovers.

It was Ladapo who came up with the goods 6 minutes in to the second half when he made it 2-0 to Maldon, when he tucked his shot from the edge of the box in to the keepers left hand corner - no chance for the keeper.

Then I saw a moment of brilliance from Juilan Okai, the Wakering number 7 took it upon himself to get his side back in the game, his solo run from his own half sore him go past 5 Maldon players before slotting the ball past the stranded Stevens in goal for Maldon - 2-1.

Then it was all Gt Wakering, they attacks where bring chance after chance, they then finally got the goal that brought the sides' level when a ball was floated back in to the box and a mix up between Dave Collins and Stevens for Maldon left a free man at the back post to head the ball back accross the face of the box for Hawkins who smashed the ball in to net - 10 men Wakering were level, 2-2.

Maldon then had a lot of chances but where just not able to put the ball in back of the net until the ball fell to Ross Wall in the 88th minute, when his cross come shot tricked everyone including him self and lobbed the keeper and the ball floated in at the far post - 3-2 in Maldon's favour.
